“My Old Ride” the fourth single from BOYS TALKING

Summoning Springsteen and the Voice of Renowned Photographer, Danny Clinch, the Fourth Single from Boys Talking Continues the Artist’s Bold Rethink of the Album Cycle.

Independent songwriter and cult-favorite rule-breaker Will Dailey will release his latest single, “My Old Ride,” on June 10—the fourth track to emerge from his full-length album Boys Talking.

"My Old Ride" is a reflective, full-hearted standout from the album. Written in the spirit of Asbury Park while Dailey listened to Bruce Springsteen’s audiobook on career, fatherhood, and legacy, the song finds Dailey channeling themes of memory, reconciliation, and the mythos of how we communicate through the lens of the American relationship to our cars.

The track was recorded live in one take with Dailey’s high class band: Dave Brophy, Kevin Barry, Cody Nilsen, Jeremy Moses Curtis, and James Rohr. Fittingly, photographer and musician Danny Clinch—who sparked the song’s initial conversation around a photo of Clinch’s father and Springsteen in his Asbury Park Gallery—lends haunting backing vocals on the track.
